Python Principles

At the core of our gym stands a figure of grit, heart, and unwavering community spirit—Aung La N Sang, also known to many simply as The Burmese Python.

At Python MMA, we are more than just a gym, we are a family. Guided by the philosophy of Aung La, we believe that anyone who is willing to work hard and dedicate themselves to learning deserves our full support, regardless of age or physical attributes. This mindset creates an environment where commitment and effort are valued over limitations, helping every kid and adult reach their full potential. At Python MMA, talent is nurtured, discipline is built, and champions are made, both on and off the mat.

Building Champions, One Child at a Time

Born in Myitkyina, Myanmar, and now based in Lake Worth, Florida, Aung La has carved out a legendary legacy in MMA as the first-ever world champion from Myanmar and the second-ever two-division world champion in ONE Championship history, having held and defended both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight titles simultaneously.

Today, he channels that same champion’s drive into something more profound than belts and victories. Aung La is deeply committed to nurturing community—especially its youngest members. He firmly believes that martial arts isn’t just about self-defense or fitness, but about building confidence, resilience, and respect—in children as much as in adults. His passion for youth development isn’t just lip service; it’s a guiding principle.

From his early days training and teaching, Aung La has cultivated and inspired a generation. As he’s mentioned in interviews, “I loved teaching and working with people for sure. So in the future I will return to that work”—a testament to his genuine desire to mentor and uplift.

Guided by a Legend

You’re not just training with any coach—you’re learning from a warrior who’s conquered international stages and became a national icon in Myanmar. His success is rooted in discipline, humility, and a profound sense of giving back.

A Gym Rooted in Community

Aung La’s vision? A space where every child—from the shy newcomer taking their first jab to the energetic teen seeking challenge—feels welcomed, driven, and celebrated. His own journey shows that greatness starts with a single step; here, every step is supported.

More Than Fitness—Character Building

Through striking, movement, and controlled sparring, we teach more than technique. We teach perseverance, respect, and self-belief—values that serve kids both inside and outside the ring.

A Mission with Heart

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to cultivate future champions—in character and in life. Understanding the transformative impact Aung La has experienced himself, our programs are designed to:

  • Empower Confidence – Every class, every drill is an opportunity to grow bold and believe in oneself.

  • Foster Discipline – Skills are honed through repetition, focus, and dedication—traits that serve well beyond training.

  • Encourage Community – Here, every family matters. We build support, mentorship, and friendships.
